We grow quite a bit of our food. A lot of it gets eaten right away (we have a big family), some is stored in our freezers, some is stored in our root cellar, and we can what we can! 😂

School Shelf

My sweet hubby, Eric Crafton & his dad, Jerry Dale Crafton built a bookshelf for some of the boys' school books today. I love it! Jerry is here for about a week, and has been working with Eric on projects around the house.💓

The Beginnings of the Boys' Treehouse

Sam & his neighbor friend, John (with limited help from the twins & Dan), have been working on a tree house this summer. They have a lot more they plan on doing to finish it before the snow flies! Hopefully we'll have a mild change of seasons, and plenty of time for more outdoor activities.

Garden Goodies

Today's pickin's! We started by harvesting about 20 pounds of golden beans. Also, I've been really happy with my tomatoes and peppers, which I started from seed this year. They're turning out to be pretty good sizes! The vining plant jungle is producing an abundance of buttercup squash, and our pumpkins should be ready by autumn. We're all eating well out here! 😃

Paths in the Woods

Almost every morning, for the past couple of weeks, we've been enjoying these trails for exercise and to get our fill of natural beauty. There are miles and miles of trails....just a hop, skip, and a jump from our house! 💚🤎💚
