Captain America...crashed
After playing hard at being the famous superhero "Captain America", this is how I found my 2-year-old Daniel this afternoon:

Daniel, Daddy's "mini-me"
We found a random memory stick that Christy used in her old camera, so I looked through all of the pictures to see if there was anything that caught my eye. Here is a picture of Daniel, around the time he turned 2 years old. He just melts my heart with his big, brown eyes! He looks so much like Eric...and acts like him also! I love all of my boys so much!

Dan's Birthday!
Daniel had a great birthday, and we enjoyed celebrating with him! Even though his birthday is so close to Christmas, we tried to keep it special and unique for him. It was only a little "family get-together", but he had fun...and really enjoyed the gifts that he received! Here is one of my favorite pictures of his "surprised look" when he opened his favorite gift...the tractor! ;-)

Daniel's Birthday!
Sam let Dan use his big Tonka truck to load up his birthday presents and move them to the "gift opening area"! ;-) Our party was shorter than we had planned, since today was the only day I could schedule Sam and Dan's well-child check-ups at the clinic, so Dan got shots for his birthday...yay! Then, we had to go to the grocery store, so we got home later than expected. Eric is working 12 hour nights this week, so I had planned on having Dan's party after we got home, but before Eric left for work. However, we got back too late, and then Dan fell asleep while I was making preparations. I don't know if he was just tired from our outing or the shots or what, but he slept through until this evening! When he woke up, we helped him open his gifts, and he had fun playing for a little bit, and now it is time to get ready for bed! Things didn't really go as planned, but I guess it could have been worse! ;-)

Another Grandma Visit!
Grandma Becky flew all the way from Oregon to visit us and her grandchildren! Here is a cute picture of her after she successfully rocked Daniel to sleep today. It is so nice to have her here, and she will be here for this whole upcoming week! Although, we have to share her with Ryan, Julie, and their children for some of the time.

It's a Boy!

Psalm 37:4
"Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."
This verse has new meaning to me, now that God has given me the desire of my heart with each of my children. I desired to have two girls first, and that's what he gave me! Then, I desired to have two boys next, and he has given me that also! I am so thankful, and I can't wait to hold my new son in my arms!
We have decided to name him Daniel John Crafton. The name Daniel is taken from the man in the Bible who chose to continue being faithful to God, even when he was thrown into the Lions' Den. John is my father's first name, and Eric's middle name.
I'm so happy that Samuel will have a brother to grow up with! I'm sure they will have a lot of fun just "being boys" together! Eric is excited also, and he is looking forward to all that he will be able to do with his boys!
