The North Shore

We had a great time up in Duluth with Papa and Karma! I took a lot of pictures, so this post will be mostly just pictures. I don't have much time to write, since I am in the middle of making dinner, and we have to leave for R.U. Kids' Club in less than an hour!

Wisconsin Dells!

With school starting soon, and a baby on the way, we thought that we had better take a good, fun family vacation while we could. We decided on going to the Wisconsin Dells, since it is a place where everyone can have their own version of fun! It is a town with many different water parks that have rides ranging from super-scary to toddler-friendly. We stayed at the Glacier Canyon Lodge in the "Wilderness", and mostly enjoyed the indoor parks. We stayed for a few days, and everyone had a great time!

We started each morning with devotions...even Sam joined in!

Here is Becca giving her "thumbs up" before jumping in!

Christy thought it would be fun to try and look like the frog ;-)

Sam liked the frog also!

Becca was brave and still cheerful after riding the "scary" rides!

Here is Christy at the beginning of day two:

Sam is intently watching another toddler in the "bouncy swings".

Becca is telling us where SHE wants to go next, but Christy doesn't agree ;-)

Sam doesn't agree either, and he thinks that HE knows the perfect spot!

Sam's favorite part was at the end of the day, when he would snuggle up and get warm with Daddy!

Texas!

We drove down to Texas last week to visit my parents and family! It was a very long drive (about 20 hours), but it was worth it! We had a great time with the family, and the weather was fantastic! The temperature when we left Minnesota was -9, and when we arrived in Texas it was about 80! The daytime highs ranged from 60 to 88, and the nights were cooler at about 30. One night, a cold front blew in, and the wind blew so hard all night that I could hardly sleep. But, it made for some good fishing weather the next day, and everyone caught some fish (except for me). The kids loved all of the sunshine and fresh air, and they were outside most of the day, every day. Some of us came back sporting a Texas tan, and others of us...just a sunburn. We all had a great time, and made many memories!

Cowgirl Christy enjoying the wild West Texas wind!

Holding hands by the duck pond...

Sam was surprised and delighted by all of the fun toys in the garage!

Who can resist that smile?!

The only incident of "road rage" we experienced was in the garage! ;-)

Doesn't Becca make the "Mud Warrior" look cute?

The 4-Wheeler was a hit!

Sam preferred the larger bouncers over the toddler-sized ones.

He did pretty good at staying on his feet!

Christy loved the Jumping Party!

Isn't Sam cute in his hunting hat?

Christy enjoyed spending time with her Grandpa!

On the last day of our trip, we were blessed by a glorious West Texas sunset!

Babysitting Lambs

We're babysitting our friends' lambs to see if this is a direction we might like to go with our little farm. We'll be producing ...
