Blessed Country
God is good, and we pray for our country to seek Him! He offers freely salvation, mercy & grace to all who call on His name!
Gardening, Chickens & Hobby Farm Life
It was a productive week at the end of June here at our little hobby farm! Monday morning was the last round of butchering, so we now have 522 pounds of chicken to last us until next year. We spent much of the week pulling up invasive weeds in different areas, but we made sure to leave the pollinator-friendly weeds for the bees and butterflies. Today was mowing, yard work, and cleaning out the chicken coop. The vegetable garden is coming along, and we're all going to sleep well tonight!

Weeding
All summer long, we spend a lot of time pulling weeds in the different woodsy areas of our acreage. Yesterday was "stinging nettle" day. I couldn't believe how big they got! I guess the weather has been just right, and all of the rain has really contributed to excessive weed growth. Our next job is cleaning up the vining weeds in the west woods. Always something to do on a hobby farm!
T'n'T's 8th Birthday
Tom & Troy had a blast at their 8th birthday! We spent the day at Lark Toys in Kellogg, MN. Everyone got to ride the carousel, eat ice cream & treats, play mini-golf, and shop for toys in the unique and old-fashioned toy store. What a fun day! :-D
Christy's Graduation Party
Christy's graduation party was a success! We're so thankful for everyone who attended the party, and/or gave gifts to go towards her next big step: college! She is still working on thank-you cards to send out. We're grateful for amazing family & friends!
Greening Up
Our place is finally starting to green up and grow! I enjoy doing yardwork: mowing, weeding, planting & harvesting. Thankful for life out here!
