Becca gets "Bathtized"

A little while ago, Becca was asking questions about communion, and why we had it as part of service. We explained to her about how the bread represents Jesus dying on the Cross to take the punishment for the wrong things we've done as it says in Romans 5:8 and the grape juice shows that Jesus was willing to shed his righteous blood to cleanse us from our sins and save us (Romans 5:9). After hearing these verses and remembering what she'd been taught in Sunday School, Becca said that she knew there were times she had disobeyed and done wrong things and she wanted to ask Jesus to forgive her and save her also. To show that she had put her faith in Jesus and prayed for His forgiveness, she asked if she could get "Bathtized" in front of the church. So, after the Sunday Evening Service, Becca was baptized!

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Romans 5:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Service to Our Country

Today is Veteran's Day, and it brings back memories of when Eric & I met while we were serving our country at Misawa Air Base, Japan...
