Lake Camping Fun!

We're enjoying the last little bit of summer! We camped up at the lake for a few days, and our girls got to try out their new tent on an adjoining camp site. It was so sweet to hear them playing games, laughing and giggling into the night! Our big tent is roomier, too, with just the boys hanging out with us. Eric is becoming quite the campfire master, and we all got yummy fire-roasted treats every day and night!

Garden Goodies

Fresh from the garden this evening...beans to go with tomorrow night's meal! Just have to wash 'em and steam 'em!

Outside My Window

From cats in trees to golden light to dramatic storm clouds, there's always something interesting to view out our back window! God shows his love for us with infinite variety, beauty, and majesty!

Resourceful Boys

The weather was perfect for spending the day at the lake today! Eric and the boys created some pretty elaborate sand "castles" and some quaint farmsteads with fairly primitive tools, since I had forgotten the beach toys box. I was impressed with their resourcefulness, though!

Beauty in Variety

My lilies are blooming!

Service to Our Country

Today is Veteran's Day, and it brings back memories of when Eric & I met while we were serving our country at Misawa Air Base, Japan...
