VFW Art Contest 1st Place
We're so excited that Christy placed 1st in a VFW art contest she entered! She is so self-motivated, and continually amazes me with what she can do!
NTI Championships
March 2nd was the 2019 NTI Championship in Owatonna! All six kids did well, and it certainly was a learning experience for everyone! For their class and age, here were their rankings: Christy placed 1st in sparring & 3rd in team form, Becca placed 2nd in sparring & 3rd in team form, Sam placed 1st in sparring & 3rd in form, Dan placed 2nd in board breaking & 3rd in form, Tom placed 3rd in sparring & 3rd in board breaking, and Troy placed 1st in sparring & 3rd in form. What a day!
Snowiest Winter
We've broken some records for snowfall in this area for sure! The boys loved it, and they were outside taking full advantage of our "snow mountains" as often as they could. It's not as much fun playing outside when it's super cold, though, and they're not even allowed out at certain temperatures. It was a winter of "cabin fever" for all of us!
Safe
Eric made it home safe & sound, then spent over two hours shoveling and snow-blowing drifts that had piled up on our driveway from the wind. The sub-zero temps had turned the drifts into ice. What a job! So thankful for my hubby who takes such good care of us!
Coldest Winter
Eric has to drive over an hour to work in extreme winter conditions. The wind chill was -45! Praying for safe travels as my dedicated hubby drives to work, no matter the weather.
