Garden Harvest

I harvested my garden today, just to be safe. There's a frost advisory for tonight!

Christy's Wedding!

Christy & Jackson are now officially married! It was a lovely ceremony, and now they're getting ready to head off to their honeymoon in Alaska in just a couple of days! 🤍❤️🤍

Haven for the Pollinators

My place might seem a little weedy and unkempt to some, but I see it as a haven for pollinators! Butterflies and bees love to hang out with me. 🦋🐝 I didn't get a picture, but we also have fireflies in our yard all summer long. Many of the weeds I let grow are edible -- just in case things get really wild! 😁

Brawny Builders

Eric & Sam have been helping a friend build a retaining wall. They finished today! Good job, guys!! ❤️❤️

Sir Reginald II

Some sort of sneaky predators (we think weasels) decimated our chicken flock a few months ago. We even tried sheltering them in the coop, but they kept getting picked off. Eric reinforced the coop and the run, and some farmer friends of ours replenished our flock. We now have 20 laying hens, and a new rooster: Sir Reginald II. 😁

Corn Harvest

Sweet corn and sweet kids! This has been our best year growing corn, so far! And it tastes as good as it looks! 😃

Becca & Volleyball

Becca has been obsessed with volleyball for over a year now, and she just found out that Normandale has a volleyball club! She joined yesterday, and she's so excited! ❤️

Back to School for Mom

Here are some books for my online college writing classes. I feel God calling me to write something, someday. I'm still not exactly sure what that is going to look like, but these classes should help me figure it out. Creative nonfiction sounds interesting!

Service to Our Country

Today is Veteran's Day, and it brings back memories of when Eric & I met while we were serving our country at Misawa Air Base, Japan...
